Twitter has released a welcome update for its official Windows Phone 8.1 app. The major change is integration with Windows' inbuilt People Hub contacts app.
There's a setting in the Hub that lets you include your Twitter contacts. There's also a setting to allow this in the new Twitter app itself.
Twitter integration was dropped from the People Hub to allow Twitter to update its app without worrying about syncing with the inbuilt app.
Many people found it a big step backwards and it looks like both Microsoft and Twitter have listened.
The updated app also has more Cortana features allowing you to compose a tweet without typing.
