Microsoft has released an operating system update for the (unlocked) Nokia Lumia 830.
The update means the phone will now work with the new improved Lumia Camera app, which means better photos and much faster camera startup.
It appears the update is only for unlocked (SIMfree) devices at the moment. But presumably, networked-locked phones will get it fairly soon.
Until now, Lumia 830 owners had to make do with the older Lumia Camera Classic app, even though the phone came preloaded with the latest Denim firmware.
This latest OS update makes the firmware compatible with the new camera app, which should appear as an app update after downloading and installing the new OS.
