Mi Band fitness tracker to get Windows Phone app

The excellent Mi Band fitness tracker is getting its own app for Windows Phone.

The third-party app is now in beta testing and anyone can sign up to try it out.

The Mi Band is made by Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi. It doesn't have a screen, but with a companion smartphone app it will track your steps, calorie-burn and sleep pattern and there are LED lights that flash when you reach programmable goals. It also gives notification vibrations when used with some phones.

But the best thing about the Mi Band is its price. You can get it for less then £20 at Amazon UK.

So far, Xiaomi has released official companion apps for Android and iOS, but nothing for Windows.

That's where this WP app - MiBand Tracker Beta - comes in.

If you'd like to give it a go, register your interest with the developer here.
