This nifty app from Microsoft has been out on Windows Phone for a few months, and it's now available on other platforms...and it's incredibly useful.
Office Lens will convert printed documents or whiteboard presentations into editable PDF, Word or PowerPoint documents.
It offers a great alternative to simple scanning apps and does a lot more besides.
Just take a photo of what you want to save or edit, and the app does the rest. And it works very smoothly.
Microsoft released Office Lens for Windows Phone last year and recent updates have made it supremely usable. An iPhone and iPad version is now live in the Apple App Store. But it's a bit more complicated for Android users.
The app for Android is still in official beta testing, but you can get it by joining the testing group on Google+.
