One of the major new features with today's Windows Phone 8 update being rolled out by Microsoft appears not to be working for some.
The update - currently being pushed to HTC 8X devices - adds the ability to reject a call with a predefined text message.
The option should appear (as above) on the incoming call screen.
But, even with the feature selected in Phone Setting, the "Text reply" button is failing to appear on our unlocked HTC 8X. And users are starting to complain about it in WP8 forums.
Update: Hard resetting your HTC 8X does not make the SMS-on-call-reject feature work. So, if it's not working for you after the update, don't bother trying a restore.
Update 2: Thank you to Anonymous in the comments to this post....the SMS-on-call-reject feature only works for incoming calls from mobile numbers and only when the mobile number is in your contacts list. I suppose this makes sense, but it would be good if this was explained in Settings.
