Once upon a time...a long long time ago...Microsoft promised the WP7.8 update for older Windows phones running 7.5.
Eventually, the update started rolling out, but it had bugs including live tiles that failed to update and caused battery drain because they kept trying to update.
The roll-out of 7.8 was halted.
Well, it's now resumed apparently with fixes to the live tile problems.
It's reported the new 7.8 is going live for unlocked devices in the UK, Denmark, India and Holland.
It seems phones which were already updated with the, err, old update will still, err, update to the new, err, update.
Got it?!
You will, of course, have to plug your phone into Zune on a Windows PC or the Windows Phone app on a Mac to get WP7.8. And then you can resize your Start Screen tiles to your heart's content.
