Samsung sPad Spotted In The Wild

South Korean electronics giant Samsung has confirmed to Reuters that it's planning to launch a tablet device and it will be released this summer.

It's been dubbed the sPad and will be in direct competition with Apple's iPad, which has shown there's potentially a huge market out there.

Our photo is said to show the Samsung device out in the wild, apparently proving it's fairly nearly ready for release.

The only specs we really know at the moment are it'll run the Android operating system and will have a seven-inch touchscreen compared to Apple's nearly 10 inches. Some are calling it a larger version of Samsung's successful smartphone, the Galaxy S.

It joins quite a queue of manufacturers lining up to get tablets out, including Blackberry with its BlackPad, LG, Asus, HP and MSI.
