Cases Clue To New iPod Designs

As we've reported, Apple is expected to make some major new product announcements at a special media event next Wednesday in San Francisco.

Top of the list of probabilities is a new iPod range.

It seems certain a new iPod Touch will be announced with a high-res screen and a front camera for FaceTime video calling.

We're also expecting a new iPod Nano.  And now a Chinese accessory website has posted pics of its new range of cases.

The bottom ones are for the new touch, but more interesting are the top two which could be for a new Nano.  It's a much squarer design, which would fit with leaked photos of a new smaller touchscreen apparently being made for Apple.

So a square, touchscreen new Nano seems on the cards.
