Apple Releases iOS4.1 Software Update for iPhone and iPod Touch

Right on time Apple has released iOS4.1, the long-awaited software upgrade for iPhones and iPod Touches.

Apple promises the update will fix the iPhone 4 proximity sensor issue and speed up the iPhone 3G, which owners found slowed down to a crawl with the last update.

It also brings better quality photos, TV show rentals and Games Centre.

Plug your phone into iTunes and the update will show up.

If you're jailbroken and want to stay jailbroken, don't update yet. You will lose your jailbreak/unlock.  At the moment there is no jailbreak for iOS4.1.  But one is expected fairly soon.
