I had high hopes for the Samsung Galaxy Tab. A 7" touchscreen tablet running the latest Android 2.2 operating system, front and rear cameras for video calls, 3G and WiFi connection, Google Navigation...and it works as a phone too!If it lives up to its advance publicity, it could really rival the bigger Apple iPad.
But we're now getting the first indication of its price.
The Clove Technology UK website has it available for pre-order....for £616.88 including VAT. That's about £100 more than the equivalent 16GB iPad.
Surely Samsung must realise that to win a foothold in the tablet market, they must undercut Apple.
Perhaps Clove have got it wrong, although they say "confirmed" on the website.
Anyway, we'll know soon...it's due for release early October.
