Windows has at long last updated its Live Messenger app for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.The app now gives some integration with Facebook and MySpace, letting you post status updates.
You can now filter your friends list - for example, limiting it to people who are on-line. This is a useful feature if you have hundreds of friends.
The free app is also now compatible with iOS4 multitasking, letting you do something else then return to the app where you left off.
