Apple Fights $600m Damages Claim

Apple has formally asked a court in the US to reject a claim against it of more than $600m for copyright infringment.

A jury awarded the damages to the Mirror Worlds company which claimed Apple "stole" several of its patented technologies, including CoverFlow used to display album covers on iPods, iPhone and iPads.

The jury's decision has to be backed by the judge and if it goes through it would be one of the largest damages awards in US legal history.

Apple argues that Mirror Worlds sold on the technologies and can't claim them as its own.
