Qantas Confirms In-Flight iPads

Australian airline Qantas has confirmed it'll be supplying iPads to its Jetstar budget airline passengers for in-flight entertainment.

It's trialled renting the device to passengers on limited routes and has now decided to introduce iPads on all Jetstar longhaul and shorthaul flights.

It might seem like a bit of a gimmick, but it could be big business for Apple if other airlines follow suit.

Qantas says it's now in talks with Apple for "a more integrated network proposition". So expect to see in-flight iPads loaded with special content - no doubt some of it pay-to-view.
