Apple Adds Calendar Alerts To MobileMe

Apple is regularly making improvements to its subscription-based MobileMe service, which lets you keep contacts and calendars synced on all your Apple devices.

The over-the-air service costs £99/$99 a year and a new feature is calendar alerts. It works in much the same way as alerts on iPhone or iPad...you set an alert time and a notification pops up.You will also get alerts on the web at me.com.

A really nice Christmas present from Apple would be to make the MobileMe service free for everyone to use. Google already offers a similar - and free - wireless syncing system.
