AT&T Combats Verizon iPhone Unlimited Data With Backdoor Offer

Associated Press is reporting that US network AT&T is offering some iPhone customers an unlimited data plan to combat Verizon's uncapped offer when it launches the iPhone 4 in February.

AT&T scrapped unlimited data last June. But apparently, customers who were on the old all-you-can-use plan are now being allowed back on it...in an effort to stop them defecting to Verizon.

AP quotes customers saying they were put back on the plan when they called customer services.

The offer is unadvertised, but it seems it's there if you ask or even threaten to leave.
