At last Facebook is conceding it needs to give iPad users a better service.
TechCrunch has an interview with Facebook CTO Bret Taylor who says:
“We need to make a tablet version of Facebook. It’s something we’re working on right now.”At the moment, you can pinch and swipe your way through the Facebook website on the iPad, or use the iPhone app artificially and grainily doubled in size.
Taylor doesn't specifically say they're working on an app. It could be an optimised web service. But let's hope it's an app, despite Facebook CEO Mark Zukerberg saying he doesn't consider the iPad to be a "mobile device".
Of course it is.
Taylor admits the iPad was a casualty of that thinking. Hopefully, not any more.
