Apple Shareholders Reject Call For Steve Jobs Succession Plan

A meeting of Apple shareholders has turned down a call for a Steve Jobs succession plan to be made public.

Some institutional stockholders wanted the board to outline what plans it has for the company's future in the absence of CEO Steve Jobs, currently on indefinite sick leave with an undisclosed illness. But the proposal was defeated,  although voting figures aren't known.

The meeting was chaired by Apple COO Tim Cook who's looking after the day-to-day running of the company in Steve Jobs absence.
