Amazon Hits Back At Apple's App Store Copyright Claim



Amazon has entered its defence in a copyright legal battle with Apple.

Cupertino is claiming copyright on the phrase "App Store" and is taking action against Amazon for calling its...err...app store "Amazon Appstore".

Not surprisingly, Amazon is arguing that "appstore" is a generic phrase and can be used by anyone.

Apple is still in the process of trying to trademark "App Store".
