Tesco Trials In-Store Sat-Nav To Locate Groceries

Now this I like. The UK supermarket chain Tesco is trying out an in-store sat-nav system so shoppers can locate the good they want to buy and get directions.

Well, it's not exactly sat-nav, it works on a grid of WiFi hotspots.  The company is trialling an Android app that will direct customers to their baked beans.

It's only in the Romford, Essex, store at the moment and Tesco says it will be evaluating how much use it is for shoppers.  A lot of use, I'd say. But then I hate supermarkets so anything that makes the whole experience faster gets my vote.
