Analyst Says Apple Will Unveil TWO New iPhones In September

Analyst with Deutsche Bank, Chris Whitmore, says he believes Apple is planning to launch TWO new iPhones - an iPhone 5 and an iPhone 4S.

He says the 4S will be a new departure for Apple and will be aimed at the prepay market. The handset would sell for about $350 and would give Apple an inroad into the "mid-range" smartphone market and attract customers who don't want to commit to a lengthy network contract.

And to please the "high-enders" would be the iPhone 5 with faster processor and larger screen.

Chris Whitmore's theory would make sense of conflicting reports about the new iPhone, some saying a major update and some saying a minor update.
