It only launched six months ago and it's had a troubled time, but it seems the Zite "intelligent" iPad newsreader is about to be bought by CNN for up to $25-million.
The Canadian start-up's app is much like other magazine-style layout newsreaders but it claims to "learn" your favourite subjects and filter stories to your interests.
If the sale goes through, it's a big success for the Canadian start-up behind the app. Since launch, it's been fighting cease-and-desist orders from several publishers, including AP, The Washington Post and Time Warner (CNN's owner!) who claim Zite is stealing their material.
