Another year and another big miss by the organisers of the London Marathon. Despite pleas from participants and supporters, there's still no iPhone app for the event on Sunday, April 22.
It's one of the biggest marathons in the world and others manage to get out apps that let you at least track runners and detail the route. Even the much smaller Brighton Marathon, held last weekend, had one:

An app could easily recoup any costs with adverts...even from the London Marathon sponsor, Virgin.
Let's hope the organisers start planning one for next year...although we said the same last year.
