How To Make Chrome Your Default Browser On iPhone And iPad

If you're using the new Google Chrome web browser app on your iPhone or iPad (and we urge you to give it a go...it's good), here's how to make it the default browser for your device.

You'll have to be jailbroken, but it means Chrome will open when you tap a link in other apps like messages, twitter and email.

Developer Ryan Petrich has come up with BrowserChooser and it's live now in the Cydia app store. To get it you have to add Ryan's repo. In Cydia, tap Manage > Edit > Add and add rpetri.ch/repo

You'll then find BrowserChooser in the Cydia list of apps. After installing, you'll see BrowserChooser has been added to your Settings and you can select Chrome or Safari as the default browser. Unticking both will give you a pop-up to choose a browser when you hit a link.
