Sainsbury's Moves Into Digital Books

UK supermarket chain, Sainsbury's, is moving into eBooks. It's paid £1 for a controlling stake in the digital publishing company Anobil.

The £1 was handed over to HMV which seemed pleased to give up its 65% share of the firm.

Sainsbury's has been quietly increasing its on-line entertainment presence over the past few years and this move gives it the opportunity to go head-to-head with rival chain Tesco, which already has eBook sales.
