We don't know how credible this is, but website WPPoweruser says it's had a tip-off that the long-awaited Windows Phone 7.8 update for older WP phones will be released this Wednesday, November 28.
The site doesn't say if the tipster has a proven track record...or is even known to it.
It was way back in June that Microsoft promised the 7.8 update, after confirming that devices running Windows Phone 7 will not be able to update to the new Windows Phone 8.
The 7.8 update will include some of the features of WP8, including a more customisable Start Screen.
We have asked Microsoft for a comment, but so far no reply.
