Verizon "to sell modified Nokia Lumia 920"

It's reported that Nokia has done a deal with US network Verizon to sell a bastardised customised version of its flagship Lumia 920 WP8 phone.

The Verge says the device will be marketed alongside other top-of-the-range smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S  and Apple's iPhone.

It's a big boost for Nokia which is failing to make major inroads in the smartphone market in the US.

It's doing OK in Europe and its entry-level Lumias are selling well. But it's finding it hard going in The States, which it really must crack to survive.
