It's reported HTC is planning to release a new WP8 phone later this year based on its hugely-popular HTC One Android device.
If it's true, it will be a big boost for the Microsoft OS and show that other manufacturers apart from Nokia have faith in Windows Phone.
Neowin.net says the new phone won't be identical to the HTC One, but will be very similar.
It's estimated the One is selling about 1.2m units a month and could be a lifesaver for the troubled manufacturer which has seen its fortunes decline as Samsung increasingly dominates the Android market.
The website says the new phone will have a screen size of between four and five inches and will be mostly metal with a release date of late 2013.
