Public transport app HopStop pulled from Windows Phone after Apple buyout

Public transport app HopStop has been pulled from the Windows Phone Store just hours after the company was bought by Apple.

The app promised travel details for cities in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

It's had a Windows Phone app since WP7.

No-one is saying anything, but it must be presumed Apple ordered the app to be pulled, although the HopStop app for Android is still live...as is - not surprisingly - the iOS version.

We're presuming Apple is planning to integrate the HopStop technology into its travel apps. But why the instant shutdown of the WP app?
