ComputerWorld is reporting that Microsoft has pledged Windows Phone 8.1 operating system update will be released for all existing WP8 devices.
It's been claimed that some lower-powered phones would miss out.
"We will not have the same experience as we had when Windows Phone 7 was upgraded to Windows Phone 8," Greg Sullivan, Windows Phone director of public relations at Microsoft, said in an interview at the International CES show. The update - expected around April - is reported to bring a pull-down notification centre and a Siri-like voice assistant called Cortana.
