Redmond has issued invitations to hacks to gather at a news conference in San Francisco to hear the long-awaited news.
Microsoft hasn't formally confirmed what it's announcing, except to say it's about the cloud and mobile devices - but you can bet your bottomest bottom dollar that iPad Office will be unveiled.
We don't know when it will appear in the app store, but we believe you won't have to wait long.
And pricing? We have no idea. We don't even know it it will be some kind of a subscription service or a one-off cost.
Interestingly, it means Microsoft will launch an iPad version of Office before it releases a version customised for Windows tablets.
