Internet Explorer gets a fairly hefty bump up in Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview.
Among the improvements is a feature called Reading Mode.
When you surf to a compatible, text-heavy website, you'll see a little open-book graphic in the address bar at the bottom of the page. Tap the graphic and IE will try to strip out all unnecessary stuff and leave you with easy-to-read text.
Our pic shows what it does with the BBC News website. It seems to work pretty well and makes reading lots of text much easier.
You're probably gathering that we're finding new features almost daily in 8.1. This ready is a very substantial update and takes many smartphone features way head of Android and iOS rivals.
