New OneDrive app design for Windows Phone sparks anger



The Windows Phone OneDrive app has been updated with a fairly radical redesign and lots of users don't like it.

If you haven't worked it out already, those three lines in the top left bring out a menu of functions. There's no pull in from the left gesture. Just those lines, which apparently are called a hamburger.

Many users think Microsoft is now going down the Android design road...and feel the redesign is a step backwards in how you organise your OneDrive cloud storage on a Windows phone.

It must be said there's a noticeable improvement in the speed of the app compared with the old one, but it must also be said the new design is not particularly intuitive.
