Microsoft has released figures showing there are now more than 525,000 apps in the Windows Phone Store and the Windows PC Store.
It's difficult to say if this is good or bad, because the previously released figures have been for the separate stores.
In June 2014, Redmond said there were 245,000 apps in the Windows Phone Store and 155,000 in the Windows 8 Store.
That's a combined total of 400,000.
But the new figure doesn't break down the increase.
It will start to make sense next year when Microsoft is planning to launch Windows 10, an operating system that will cover phones, tablets, wearables and PCs and will have a single store for apps.
