Microsoft "testing software that converts Android phones to Windows 10"

TechCrunch is reporting that Microsoft is developing software that will convert Android smartphones to Windows 10.

It claims the development is being done with the co-operation of Chinese phone manufacturer Xiaomi.

Apparently some of Xiaomi's flagship Mi4 Android phones have been converted to Windows 10 for testing.
Neither Microsoft nor Xiaomi provided specific details of the Windows 10 software being trialled, but TechCrunch understands from sources that it effectively overrides Android, turning the Xiaomi phone into a Windows 10 device complete with Microsoft services. (Which the company hopes will dazzle Android owners into making the switch.)
It seems this isn't just sticking a Windows ROM on an Android phone, but it's software that makes Google's Android OS look and work like Windows 10.

So in effect it's super skinning, which Google allows, and it could potentially work on all Android devices.
