Microsoft teams with Best Buy for store-within-store retail chain

Microsoft has done a deal with giant retail chain Best Buy to introduce stores-within-stores throughout North America.

They'll be called Windows Stores and will roll out this summer in 500 Best Buys in the US and 100 Best Buy-owned stops in Canada.

The move is seen as strategically vital for Microsoft in the face of the success of Apple's chain of retail outlets although there's no news of similar moves outside North America.

The Windows Stores will sell everything Windows...from software to tablets and smartphones.
